COUNSELOR

My love for working with students began long ago. Upon graduating from Texas A&M in 2010 with a BA in English, I began my career in the classroom while living in Japan. Three years later, my husband and I moved to Hanover, New Hampshire, where I entered the exciting world of college admissions at Dartmouth College. As an admissions and financial aid assistant, I learned the ins and outs of the admission process.

There, I realized there ARE things students can do to capture the attention of an admissions' reader beyond perfect grades and perfect SAT scores. Equipped with this knowledge, I moved to Austin, Texas, where I obtained my secondary teacher certification for English Language Arts and began helping students apply to college.

Over the course of 12+ years, I have helped students craft applications that are honest, introspective, and endearing. It is hard for most students to truly express themselves within the constraints of a college application; I enjoy taking the time to help students find their voice and identify their passion.
